Research shows that eating 30 or more different plants per week is associated with increased gut diversity and better overall health. The 30 Plants Challenge (with food reference list) was created to encourage plant-based food consumption and variety in adults’ diets. The reference list includes 100+ ideas for fruit, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds, beans and legumes, and herbs. Instructions: Aim for 30 different plants throughout the week, or start slow with 30 for the month. Fill in a square every time you eat a serving of something new!
