Hands-on nutritional education is becoming more popular in the form of teaching kitchens. The S.N.A.C.K. Healthy program is a 5 week curriculum for dietitians and other health professionals looking to create a hands-on educational experience in their private practice, hospital, or community setting. The first three weeks cover each macronutrient, and week four covers salt and sugar. Tying the previous weeks together, week five covers balanced eating. This hands-on curriculum keeps the audience engaged with recipes and activities to complete together. The material and activities can be presented and performed in-person or virtually!
