This 45-minute workshop is designed to inform teens of the risk of body checking and comparing their body parts to those of their peers and siblings, and to inform teens of the possible disadvantages to their personal health of constant social media use. The product comes with a a lesson plan and pdf slides. The workshop is interactive and asks for audience input throughout the workshop. This would be ideal for school presentations, support groups, or any other body-neutral presentation geared towards teens. 

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to

  1. Analyze images in the media and identify how these images have been changed to fit society’s definition of beauty
  2. Identify 4-5 fun activities to do to help decrease the amount of time they spend on social media each day by 25% of their current usage.
  3. Explain how thinking about their body from a neutral perspective is beneficial and be able to list 4-5 body neutral facts about themselves
