This is a great 1 page (front and back) handout. It can be given in a medical appt. shared medical appt., or used as a quick education tool to answer some basic questions. It can also be used in a group settings. The handout covers the basic food groups- introducing carbohydrates. It provides simple succinct guidelines for diabetes meal planning and introduces the plate method. A few notable websites that use the plate method are also listed. Lastly goals setting is introduced as a way to make sustainable health behavior changes.
