Free nutrition education handout about saladFree nutrition education handout about salad

This free nutrition education handout is all about building a healthy salad.  How many times to you have clients think a salad means a boring, run-of-the-mill garden side salad?  Let’s get them to expand that thinking and see just how many delicious varieties of salad they can create!  This is perfect to accompany discussions about meal planning, balanced meals, and increased vegetable intake.

The first page of this free nutrition handout includes four different categories – vegetables, protein, fresh/dried fruit, and fats – and a list of foods for each.  It’s seemingly simple but allows clients to start thinking about all of the different combinations they could make – and is a great conversation starter to work with them on meal planning ideas.  The second page of the handout gives four delicious sample salad ideas.

The mix/match plan is good but seeding ideas is what clients needed. Thanks!
