This un-branded handout is a quick and easy guide to help patients and clients create a healthy balanced snack. It is useful for a variety of populations including adults, pediatrics and geriatrics. Will also work well for a group class activity.

Included on the second page is a worksheet, with the activity being, “Make a list of healthy snacks that you can put together
in a pinch. Keep in mind, combing a high fiber carbohydrate source and a lean protein at snack times promotes satiety, or a feeling of fullness.” It is a space for patients and clients to think about what snacks would work best for them.

I created this handout as there was a lack of concrete resources to turn to. Handout emphasizes opting for balanced snacks including high-fiber carbs + protein. Handout has a list by column to easily learn how to create and pair snacks for optimal energy and satisfaction.

2 page handout, unbranded.

Hope this is helpful for others!
