Are your clients struggling with self compassion and self esteem? Do they often acknowledge appearance as being a pivotal foundation for their self worth? This handout guides your client through a series of prompts, to think about how they define their own personal value and how much importance they place on their physical appearance, body weight/ shape/ size. It then asks clients to reassess how they reinforce the importance of appearance and how much time/ space this takes up in their life. The final portion of the handout has clients being to think about how they can start to make shifts and place less importance on physical appearance which is a fantastic way to open up the floor for helping your client to set small, tangible goals.

This activity is great to use in session to help guide a conversation or to assign as a take-home reflection activity for clients.
