Food labels can be misleading, but the ingredients list is straight forward. Ingredients are listed in order by weight in the actual product. I like to tell my patients that if sugar is in the first three ingredients, then proceed with caution. This can be confusing since sugar goes by many names. This is a simple handout that clearly lists some of the more common (>80) names of sugar.

Great list for clients to learn how to distinguish sugar on a food label.
Very extensive list of terms that ultimately just mean sugar. Great for client education and to have as a resource on hand.
