Especially good as a part of diabetes education, this is an overview list of where carbohydrates and proteins are found in the foods we eat, separately and together.  All in one page, this is a great resource for your clients to pop on the fridge while they’re learning to navigate the balance between carbohydrates and proteins in their diet.

Note – this includes ALL sources and not just the healthiest, so it paints a picture that eliminates the “well, what about this?” question from your clients.  I would recommend using this list to aid in education and perhaps even go through and highlight “best” sources of both nutrients together with your client.
