Many lists of snack ideas emphasize “healthy” and/or low calorie or low carbohydrate options.

For our clients who are trying to achieve a more peaceful relationship with food, it can be helpful to have a really wide variety of snack ideas to choose from so they can confidently honor their hunger, their cravings, and their nutritional needs.

All 35 snack ideas on this list provide a source of carbohydrate + protein and/or fat, and the list includes options that are traditionally labeled “healthy” as well as some really fun foods that can also positively be incorporated into delicious, well-balanced snacks (HELLOOO milk and cookies!).

There are not specific measurement/portion size recommendations included on this list, so it is a safe list to give to your clients who are really trying to tune in to their hunger and fullness cues to guide their decisions.

Disclaimer: not all snack ideas listed are appropriate for special populations, like those with renal failure or those with Celiac disease
