Hearing all bodies are beautiful and other likewise phrases reinforces the idea that a person’s value is tied to beauty. Rejecting the idea of beauty during body image work can be deeply therapeutic for some clients. This activity has your clients consider all the things that they bring to the world and what they like about themselves that is not associated with their appearance. This is a fantastic activity to help clients foster deeper self compassion and self esteem.
