Arielle “Dani” Lebovitz, MS, RDN, CSSD, CDE is a mom and registered dietitian nutritionist specializing in experience-based education for kids and their families. She is the children’s book author of “Where Do Bananas Come From? A Book of Fruits” and “Where Does Broccoli Come From? A Book of Vegetables,” colorful whole foods guidebooks part of the Growing Adventurous Eaters series that invites taste buds on adventures in discovery of new foods. Dani holds a master’s degree in Health Communications as well as specialty certifications in diabetes education and sports nutrition. As a military spouse and self-proclaimed foodie, she loves to travel with her husband, daughter, and two poodles, exploring food markets in search of unique tastes and textures.
Her passion is teaching children about food and encouraging them to try new things. She believes active, positive engagement with food fosters an optimal learning environment that enables children to experiment with new foods, learn about what they are eating, and empowers them to make decisions about what they put into their bodies. In her experience, this gives children tools for healthy eating habits that last a lifetime and minimizes the incidence of picky eaters.
Dani thinks it's never too late to become a Food Explorer. She encourages everyone to put their Food Explorer hat on and join her in a search of delicious.
