Nutrición Renal PR
My name is María Eugenia and have been a renal dietitian since 2009. In 2020, I launched Nutrition Renal PR (Renal Nutrition Puerto Rico) to provide dietitians with educational tools to use with CKD patients in their practice. All materials were created first in Spanish (which is my first language) and, then, translated to English. You will have both versions when you purshase any of the handouts. Most handouts translated to Spanish in the United Sates consider foods and words common among Mexicans. Among Hispanics, differences in foods and language exist. These handouts are created considering foods and language that are culturally-relevant to puertorricans, the second largest hispanic group in the United States. Be aware that certains foods may have different names in Spanish considering where your patient is from. For example, peanuts for me is "maní" instead of "cacahuate".
